Hello everyone, I’m Danni, one of Cathy’s newest recruits. I cannot believe where time has gone, next week is my 9th week at Isme already?! I was meaning to write this blog at the end of my first month but I’ve blinked and time has just flown by. I joined Isme People through the Governments Kickstart Scheme on the 7th March, I am a recruitment consultant and I also help with the marketing within the business. I have now even introduced Cathy to the world of TikTok, I have started creating some good content if I may say so myself, so go check it out and give us a follow whilst you’re there!
As I write this, I am reflecting on what has been a great 2 months so far. In March I joined Cathy in Bristol at my first networking event hosted by Society of Bristol Business Women, which was so fun and inspiring, it was great to meet so many wonderful women and hear their stories. Back at the start of April, it was my 4th/5th week in the business when Cathy went on holiday for a couple of weeks to Orlando (very jealous) meaning I had to jump in the deep end and keep everything flowing in her absence. Not only am I new to this industry, I’ve never been left to keep someone’s business running before!! ‘Sink or Swim’ is a phrase I always tell myself – I had nothing to be nervous about, I surprised myself with how well I did, I’ve gained even more confidence and my experience really developed in those couple of weeks. I even got a few of our vacancies filled which was just amazing and now we have some brand-new vacancies to fill.
I am very grateful that Cathy has given me this opportunity and to start a new career within her business, she has supported me, trusted me and watched me grow. I couldn’t possibly ask for anyone better to work alongside or have as my boss. Like I said the recruitment world is very new to me, I never imagined myself to work in this kind of industry, but here I am… loving it and smashing it!
